Oops. . .

Sorry for the lack of updates. We kind of dropped the ball on the holiday season. We haven't been able to record and write as much as we would have liked due to work, the holidays, and the Futurists getting back together. So what we will do is release November and December songs together. Expect them mid-January.

In the meantime here is the most ridiculous but fun-to-play song I have ever written. It will be on the November + December release:

Free music

Without being too preachy about it, I want to let you guys know about a philosophy that we are trying to adhere too. The basic idea is that if you are downloading our music for your personal use, you should not be required to pay for it. We only ask that if you do download it you share it with others. We want to help music break out of the industry that far too often controls the creative process. If you want to read into it more take a look here http://www.ram.org/ramblings/philosophy/fmp.html.

September!

September's output is ready for your consumption. Sorry for the delay. Please let us know what you think of it. Any thoughts. Good or bad. We are doing this for entertainment but also to be better songwriters so any constructive criticism is more than welcome.

You can download/listen to the EP in two ways:

1. Click this http://www.box.net/shared/rz9ta31rpp That is a zip file containing all the songs.

2. Visit our Virb page here. There you can preview, download, and learn how to embed songs on other websites.

Technical Difficulties

"Hey! It is October 1st. . .where is the September EP, jerks?"  Well, we've run into some trouble. Vocalists with severe colds. Recording equipment being evicted. Other factors we shall not get into here. They all add up to a first month failure. But wait! We will release it soon. Very soon. Soonish. In the meantime take a listen to the band that BJ and Matt play in. The Futurists

First "studio" sounds!

Here is the first completed song. Though, it may change slightly when we release it with the pile of other songs we've got a stewin'. It's a thinly veiled homage to my dealers, Chris and Anna. They have a little shop you might know called Slowtrain Music. Go there. They will cradle you in their loving arms of music knowledge and such.

Here is the tune:

First sounds for your ears!

Here is a live take of one of the September born songs. A better(slightly at least) version will come with the release of the September EP, at the end of the month. It will probably have more instrumentation and such. . .possibly different lyrics.  Anyway, enough reading, its time to listen.

An Introduction.

Hello.

This blog will be dedicated to following a little project BJ of Midway Iceland conjured up in his squirrely little brain. The idea is to write and record 100 songs in one year. 100 quality songs.

The main players will be BJ and Matt (of Albino Father). Others will be involved and will be credited for their contributions.

We will try to release each month's output as digital EPs, available here, for free. We will also take photos, videos, etc.

Hopefully this will be entertaining to someone somewhere. Hopefully.
